Mjukgörare finns i hudvårdsprodukter för att bevara fukten i huden så vi inte blir torra. Deras uppgift är att lägga sig ovanpå hudens översta lager, med andra ord epidermis och hornlagret, och begränsa vattenavdunstningen.
